“Summer”

“Sand & grass,

  Piers and vast water

båtar floating in the water.

Looking out over the horizon..

  Daddy was there-

  with me before..

I miss him.

Scared now of the water.”

"I remember it being so hot.  And throwing up on the pavement near our house.  I was always on antibiotics.  I liked the beach in Sweden where my family went in the summer to visit family.  It’s so breezy.  The vast sea.  The wooden briggar.  The grasses blowing in the sand.. and then you walk up through the squishy sand through the cool forest.  Back there somewhere is the church I was baptised in."
