Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (transl. Plot summary

Naina Talwar (Deepika Padukone) is a medical student who is studious and introverted. She meets her old classmate Aditi Mehra (Kalki Koechlin) who invites her to join her and her friends on a trekking trip to Manali. There she meets Kabir Thapar (Ranbir Kapoor), aka Bunny, a fun-loving and adventurous guy who wants to travel the world. Naina develops feelings for Bunny but keeps them to herself as he shows no interest in settling down. She also bonds with Avinash (Aditya Roy Kapur), aka Avi, who is Bunny's best friend and has a crush on Aditi.
After the trip, Bunny gets an offer to work as a videographer for a travel show and leaves India to pursue his dreams. He promises to stay in touch with his friends but fails to do so.
