“Pretty rose” (poem)

Jun 14, 2025
1 min read

“Pretty rose I put in my window.

Mary statue on the floor

near the guitar.

Pray to Jesus when I need to.

Missing a man I know.

Wondering what’s next.

Smoke a cigarette in my black.

The birds are my friends.

Go on a walk

Sit under a tree.

Wishing I could feel free.

Hey gypsy

I know you miss me.

Free and tall.

Strong and small.

Pretty rose

longs to be free.”
